Creating Jewellery with Heart - My story

Welcome to My First Blog!

When people ask me what I do, I smile and say: “I make jewellery which holds memories.”

I’m a fine jeweller and designer, and I work from my little studio tucked away at the bottom of my back garden. It’s not grand, but it’s my haven – a place filled with tools, sketches, my kids colourful drawings, and so much love. From this space, I craft pieces that go far beyond jewellery – keepsakes that hold stories, meaning, and sometimes, the presence of those no longer with us.

I specialise in commemorative jewellery made from ashes, something that I never take lightly. It’s such a privilege to create pieces that honour people’s most treasured memories and relationships. Every ring, pendant, or bracelet I make carries with it a story – a story I get to be part of, even if just for a little while.

A Family-Filled Life and a Dream Career

My life, like so many others, is a juggle of roles. I’m a mum to two wonderful kids, a wife, and also a business owner. My studio time fits in around school runs, family dinners, and late-night cups of tea. Some days, I’m at my bench as the sun rises, other days it’s after bedtime, when the house is quiet again.

This rhythm has become part of the beauty of what I do. My work doesn’t just fit in with family life – it flows alongside it. In fact, I think my jewellery is richer for it. The love, the chaos, the laughter, and sometimes even the tears that fill my home, all seem to weave their way into what I create.

Why I Love What I Do

Jewellery has always been more than decoration to me. It’s about connection. It’s about the way one small piece can hold a lifetime of meaning. I get to meet people at some of their most tender moments – when they want to keep a loved one close, celebrate a milestone, or capture a fleeting stage of life. And from those moments, I create something physical, something lasting, something tangible .

Every time I pack up a finished piece of jewellery and send it off, I feel a sense of pride, that my hands and skills can create something so meaningful.

More than Just Jewellery

My work is as much about people as it is about metals and stones. It’s about listening, understanding, and then translating those feelings into something that can be worn close every day. That connection – to my clients and their stories – is what keeps me at my bench, even on the long, late nights.

So, when I say I love what I do, I mean it with every ounce of my heart. Jewellery, for me, is life, love, and memory made solid. And I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
